Biography

When it comes to broad-based marketing proficiency, a designer must be endowed with a diversity of classical training and worldwide professional experiences. I bring these elements together by providing Stephanie Vidergar Creative, a one-stop design house, capable of addressing online and print media marketing. I traveled the globe studying art and culture throughout much of my childhood and while earning a BA in Communications and Marketing. My interest in commercial media led me to undertake extensive post-graduate training in computer and graphic design.

In 1997, I began working extensively with small businesses and non-profit corporations, advancing budget-conscious, contemporary, online and print media marketing campaigns. I returned to Colorado to found Stephanie Vidergar Creative in 2003 after substantial ventures in the California commercial centers of San Diego and the San Francisco Bay Area. Through a specific focus on the active travel industry and positions with BCT Scenic Walking (San Diego, CA), and International Nature & Cultural Adventures (Emeryville, CA), I developed targeted niche-market advertising and promotional materials. I launched several websites and on-line campaigns for both entities, before broadening my pallet in 2001 by undertaking marketing and promotions for the San Jose Museum of Art. Through the Museum I applied my media and communication skills in direct marketing and media relations in one of the largest metropolitan areas in the nation. I redesigned the commercial campaigns for the Museum’s international online presence, as well as their online Museum Store. I achieved a synergy between internal efforts for public education and membership, as well as helped to advance the Museum’s re-emergence as a community fixture.

After returning to my roots to raise a family in the mountains of Colorado, I have continued my work with niche marketing through Stephanie Vidergar Creative. Most recently I have developed campaigns for Vitamin Cottage, Moondance International Film Festival, NetNews Desk, The Art of Marjorie Cranston, Essential Homeworks, Mill/Works Building Services, The Parshall Inn, Ski Randonnee!, Meyer Mountain Realty, and Grand County Living Magazine. A broad and well-traveled perspective has enabled me to provide my clients with effective, tasteful and targeted online and print promotions. Through networking with online and email marketing service providers and promotional product suppliers, I am also able to provide additional online marketing options and quick turn-around on collateral product development and production.

In addition to online and print design, I am proficient in multiple commercial design applications for both PC and Macintosh platforms, including Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, PageMaker, ImageReady, and Photoshop; QuarkXPress; Macromedia Studio 8 including Dreamweaver, FreeHand, Fireworks and Flash; common back-end and webserver database applications; MailWorkZ, Constant Contact, and NetNews Desk email marketing systems. My extensive background with HTML, search engine optimization, email marketing, and web site management and promotion, have enabled me to design, monitor, and maintain multiple commercial websites and email marketing campaigns. Through Stephanie Vidergar Creative I have also strived for excellence in all forms of communication, research, marketing and collateral development, copywriting and editing.

I accomplish my client's goals through efficiently coordinating all services in-house with a talented pool of associates and contract employees, and a standard of always providing the client with services tailored to optimally suit their unique needs.

With a world of experience comes a world of proficiency, enabling me to put online and print media to work for all of my clients, from the small flower shop to the international art museum.
